Beres Family

My best friend's little guy turned 2 last week. So amidst the tears, we went and did some family photos (and we laughed about how in the 2 years of his life, we've never gotten out to do some--odd seeing as her best friend is a photographer). Here are a few samples from their shoot. Happy Birthday Little Man :)

Melissa, Bella & Lauren

With the cold weather, it tends to be a *slower* season for photographers who don't own studios :) Recently however, I have worked with a few good friends and photographed their families for them. Here are some of our photos from the session with Melissa and her two beautiful girls:

Red Ribbon Exhibit

This weekend was the Red Ribbon Exhibit and Sale for the Arts Council. It was such a great time! It was organized so well and the music, hor d'oeuvres, and wine were exceptional. It was nice to meet and speak with fellow artists from all around the Niagara Region. I was also blown away by the high level of art hiding in our city :) Needless to say, I was rather nervous about my first exhibit. But within an hour on the Saturday night, I was floating--I sold a print! It was the print "Aftermath" from my shoot with Captain Ziegler. It kept me going all night then again this afternoon. Then to round out my amazing weekend, my piece that I donated for the Silent Auction ALSO sold! Couldn't be happier!

And on a personal note, my good friends Lizz & Dustin had their sweet baby girl last week. She is completely breathtaking and already loved. So just a little congrats to them :) If it's possible (and I have their OK), I may post some photos later of her that I've taken for their birth announcements!

"Heroes"--Matt & New Package Information

After doing the photos for Captain Brad Ziegler, I've been asked now by a few other firefighters and others in uniform to do the same kind of fine art-lifestyle portraits. I'm now offering an open ended offer of my "Heroes" package for anyone in uniform (the photos are IN uniform so permission may be required). The session is in the style of the fine art-lifestyle portraits for fire, police, paramedic, and military. It includes the session and disc of images in high resolution for $75, which is 50% off of my portrait session. I will also be offering "Family Behind the Heroes", which is once you have your "Heroes" session taken, then book a family session (for up to 5 people, including the Hero), you will receive the session and disc for $125, saving an additional $25. In total, saving $100! Please contact me for booking information and other questions.

Here are some samples from the session with Matt.

Firefighter Photos

Just recently, I was asked by a Captain in my husband's fire hall to take some photos of him in his gear. I could not have been happier with them! I am using one of the images in my upcoming exhibit because it was captured exactly how I envisioned it. I nearly floated off my chair while I was editing :) And now I am very pleased to be asked to take photos for some of the other guys in the department. Which brings to mind my newest project! Details will be released VERY soon but I will give you the one clue that it has to do with firefighters and it's not what you think :)
Here are some of the images of Captain Brad Ziegler.
