Morin Family | portraits

The Morins and us met while in the same prenatal classes when I was pregnant with our son and they were pregnant with their oldest daughter. We run into them often as Kevin and my husband are in the same Fire Department. So when Tracy asked me to do photos, I of course said yes! They now have two sweet little girls who are so much fun. I took them down to Dufferin Islands to try to capture some of the amazing colors, but it was cold! We didn't stay out very long as the cold was getting to the girls, but we did get some great shots. Here are some of my favorites.

Messina Family | portraits

My blog posts have suffered lately from just being too busy with life! I've taken a part time job as a Print Lab Technician (which is so cool!) as well as taking on another wedding photographer's editing. But I'm finally catching up!

The Messina's are good friends of ours who have been through a lot lately. They are so strong as individuals and as a couple and parents. They have two beautiful children who are so full of life. Their daughter was singing at one point and making up her own song. She has quite the imagination :) And their son is a sweet little boy with chubby cheeks that make me want to squeal sometimes! haha

Here are some of their photos from our short shoot.

Katrina & Neil | wedding

I was contacted by a regular client who had passed along my name to her cousin. I was more than happy to photograph Katrina and Neil's day (well, evening!). They married on a Tuesday evening and during their touching speech at the end of the night, they explained why they chose that day. They were originally to be wed September 29 of 2007. But just a few months before they were to wed, Katrina's step dad became ill and passed away. They cancelled the wedding and became busy with just living. They decided to keep the same date as a rememberance to her stepdad. Their day carried a few bumps, but nothing brought them down. They were just so excited to be getting married. Their outdoor ceremony got moved inside where even though there was not much room, their guests fit into every nook they could to witness their love. Having only known them a few hours, I knew these two were head over heels for each other. As cliche as it sounds, you could feel their love. I wish you two all the best (and with your adorable little girl!).

De Angelis Family | family portraits

It's been a while since I've posted, but don't think I've been anything short of busy! I have always edited for Amanda and she has kindly passed my name along to another photographer. So I've been busy edited work for both of them plus my own AND spending time with my family.

A recent shoot I had was with the De Angelis family. You may remember images of Laura and Sarah--this is the whole family. It was so much fun to be out shooting with them as I have known them nearly my whole life. The skies and weatherman had forecasted rain (actually slated to start at 1pm--the start time for our shoot!), but we were blessed with cool, overcast weather until the moment I started driving home when the skies opened up.

All in all, I am in love with the images we got and I've already received compliments from that family that have truly warmed my heart. I think I have the best job in the world! :)

I LOVE this image! The light was coming through the top of the trees and ever so slightly lit the log right where they are sitting. Their natural affection for each other (even after nearly 25 years of marriage!) made it easy to snag this candid moment.
